As educators, we often expect students to enter our classrooms equipped with a certain baseline of knowledge. But what happens when they don't? It's time to recognize that today's learners are wired differently - they possess iPad minds in a world of floppy disk education.


🔄 We must acknowledge that the way these students process information is vastly different from previous generations. Their digital upbringing has fundamentally altered their learning styles and preferences.


📲 It's no longer sufficient to rely solely on traditional teaching methods. We need to upgrade and update how we deliver our curriculum to meet the needs of these digital natives.


🌟 This means embracing innovative approaches to engage students, such as incorporating interactive technology, gamification, and multimedia resources into our lessons.


💬 Let's foster a learning environment where curiosity is sparked, critical thinking is encouraged, and creativity is nurtured. Together, we can empower the next generation of learners to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.

Michaels contributions have led to student successes. As of 2021 he has taken 112 high school students who lack of motivation, focus and credits to graduate, to incentivized and goal orientated students able to reach their academic potential. These 112 students are all set to graduate in the class of 2022. Eighty-one of the 112 students will be enrolled in community college and 4 directly to universities this fall. He also remains active in professional associations, frequently presenting research at the American Educational Research Association and the Critical Race Studies in Education Association. Michael also helped create a mental health unit for youth who were incarcerated in juvenile hall. This unit was designed to provide treatment to youth incarcerated that suffer from mental health issues, trauma, or suicidal ideations.
